Rules

4.11 Change: "…or part of one contiguous flank-to-flank and/or front-to flank" should read "…or part of one contiguous flank-to-flank or front-to-rear"

Example: With the above change, either AS/III g or e will be Out of Command depending on which contiguous line is chosen.

7.4 Clarification: Within the Retreat Before Shock (Combat) segment, each Shock attack is completely resolved, both retreats (7.43) and advances (7.44), before moving on to the next .

7.45 Example: The example is incorrect in that the Epirote SK would not be able to legally (see 7.41) avoid the Shock and Retreat, since the unit began the Player Turn in an enemy ZOC.

7.54 Post-Shock Advance. Change the first sentence to read: " If the Defender Retreats or Routs, the attacker MUST advance into the vacated hex(es)". Note also that the Post-Shock Advance is part of the Shock Resolution and is performed immediately as part of that individual Shock result.

7.54 Example #2 The last sentence should read: "The Phalanx is unaffected, and since this unit was defending, there is no advance."

7.71 Add the following to the end of the case: "A double-sized unit must attempt to occupy the vacated hexes by moving the entire unit straight ahead or by pivoting one side of the unit. In making a straight ahead move, the unit may enter a vacant hex that was not vacated by a retreating unit. If the unit cannot legally move due to the presence of units or impassable terrain, the unit remains in place."

7.72 Change the last sentence to read: " Advancing double-sized units may change their facing only if they pivot into a vacated hex."

8.3 Insert the following before the last sentence: "A unit that retreats off the map is eliminated." and add the following sentence to the end of the section: "If a double-sized unit is forced to Retreat, the entire unit must Retreat (no pivoting!)."

10.24 (Addition) An Elephant unit that has an enemy unit in its ZOC is automatically considered Out of Command.

11.23 Change the last portion of the sentence that begins with "In the Case of double-sized units, …" to "the player must designate (use an In Column marker) which end of the unit faces Front." The last sentence should read: "Any single-hex unit …"

11.25 Add the following to the end of the case: "The unit may be faced in any direction. Units In Column may not Retreat Before Combat."

11.27 (Addition) Units In Column may use Reaction Facing (per 6.15, and remember the TQ reduction noted in 11.25) to return to its "combat" formation. If successful, the unit may adjust its facing towards either vertex adjacent to the hex side that it faced while In Column. Units that Reaction Face out of Column may not use Retreat Before Shock in that player turn.

Muthul & Cirta

Route March. While in Route March all units in the army move (OC and SC's too) up to 12 MP and no unit may move within 6 MP of an enemy unit. The Romans can voluntarily put their army in RM only if they can meet the above requirement and the respect the remaining restrictions in the original rule. If the Numidians don't activate a Formation, the Romans must use Route March on their next player turn, ONLY IF all units are further than 6 MP from an enemy unit.

Nicopolis & Zela

Counters: The Roman cohorts have the wrong unit type. They should be treated as CO type units (not LG).
