Excellent quality! I picked the slowest shipping option to Japan (estimated 4-8 weeks) but it arrived within a week! Very impressed :)

Great game with a lot of historical flavor. Maybe too much random chance for some people, though. Currently I have 13 wins / 2 losses, so I'd like to think skillful play is more important than luck! ;-)

By helping me convert my wife to GMT games such as Combat Commander, Paths of Glory and Sword of Rome I would give this game a 6. Easy to teach and play. Great mechanics and card outcomes. Very Good.

Great game. It really imerses you with a feel for the time period. It does not have battles and sieges that you find in other CDG's such as Wilderness War. Instead, the game focuses on the unrest and uncertainty in alliances that was the crux of the cold war. BK

This is the best GMT game I have played!! Love the tension and theme. Playtime at 3 hours, appeals to most gamers, Euro & Wargamers.

One of the most intense games I have ever played in thirty years of gaming! Most of our games come down to a margin of 1 point. The more you play, the more you love this game. Each game is totally different from the last. This game is so easy to teach to new players. After a few plays, you learn most of the available cards that come with the game and you start working on tactics. Regarding the un-mounted map, I mounted my map using an inexpensive frame from a local art supply store. The map is now secured behind Plexiglas. It looks so awesome! When my friend and I pull this baby out, crowds gather in awe...I would rank this to be the BEST 2 player game on the market! You would do yourself a favor and grab a copy while they last. THANK YOU GMT....home run on this game! Epp

Played today my first two games. Awesome! I love games where you have a chance till the end, Twilight Struggle gives you the possibility. In one of the games I (US player) had 14 points. After some action and turns, the USSR player won...

As a game, this is one of the best, causing players to think through strategy until the end. I was dissappointed in it as a simulation; it doesn't model crucial aspects of the Cold War, except in the most abstract of terms. But if you are willing to play it as a game, you will not be dissappointed.

Love this game. It brings back the feeling of the cold war and reminds me of the daily news of my childhood and adolesence. I've played twice (both times into turn ten) and each time was nailbitingly fun. It is a simple set up and a medium difficulty to learn, yet tense and unpredictable to play through. You have to continually be on your toes, ever balancing and edging your influence ahead.

A classic, great game play, deep strategy, and simple rules this game has it all. While the game is a bit on the unforgiving side another game can be played fairly quickly so I think it balances out.

Simple set up, plays fast, but really captures the flavor of the era and the tension of the Cold War. It can take so many directions and your position can change on a dime. This old Cold War warrior's favorite!

TWILIGHT STRUGGLE is my all-time favorite game. It is a brilliant first design by the team of Jason Matthews and Ananda Gupta. It takes the card-driven genre of games like WE THE PEOPLE, HANNIBAL; ROME VS. CARTHAGE, and WILDERNESS WAR to its highest peak. Every game is different and the game gets better and better as you become more familiar with the individual cards. You are surprised as hidden combos are revealed game after game. Every turn is filled with tension as you try to figure out the best way to play the hand of cards you've been dealt. Gaming simply doesn't get any better than thi

On November 9th of 2009, the world marked the 20th Anniversary of the conclusion of the Cold War.  That was the day that the Cold War's most tangible symbol -- the Berlin Wall -- was relegated to the ash heap of history.  Unlike the 20th Century's other great conflict, the Cold War did not end in an explosion of neutrons, but rather, an explosion of human freedom and optimism.  We had avoided what many thought inevitable -- the destruction of mankind through armed conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States.  Overnight, the face of Europe had changed.  Suddenly, all things were possible.

That was now 23 years ago.  Sadly, we all learned that the end of the Cold War was not "the end of history."  Mankind would find new ways to divide itself. While the threat of nuclear holocaust disappeared, newer and more sinister forms of conflict would take its place.  Where once superpowers bestrode the globe, decentralized networks and even individuals now command the world's attention.

This Deluxe Edition of Twilight Struggle seeks to capture the feeling of  that earlier era.  Twilight Struggle is a two-player game simulating the forty-five year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional flares of warfare between the Soviet Union and the United States. Using the card-driven game mechanics pioneered in such award winning games as We the People and Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage, Twilight Struggle recreates the conflict between the most powerful nation states the world has ever known. The scope of the game covers the entire world as it was found in 1945.  Players move units and exert influence in attempts to gain allies and control for their superpower. As with GMT's other card-driven games, decision-making is a challenge; how to best use one's cards and units given consistently limited resources? Twilight Struggle's Event cards add cover a vast array of historical happenings, from the Berlin Airlift, to the Vietnam War and the U.S. peace movement, to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

This Deluxe Edition of Twilight Struggle marries world-class components, with the sort of world-class game play for which GMT is already known.  We cannot think of a better way to commemorate this vital piece of world history. We invite you to relieve an era with the words uttered by one of  its most iconic statesmen:

"Now the trumpet summons us again, not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are - but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle" - John F. Kennedy
