Ray's first wargames were Risk and Port (a variation on Stratego); he has been playing traditional die cut cardboard wargames since 1961.  He is a USCF rated chess expert, was captain of the NC State University Chess team 1974-1976, and coached scholastic chess teams for several years in the 90's.

Ray is a two time War at Sea champion at Avaloncon/WBC and was (not surprisingly) WBC champion in the inaugural Tigers in the Mist tournament.  He has directed the Victory in the Pacific tournaments at Conquest/Pacificon in the Bay Area since 1993, and directs the Tigers in the Mist tournaments at the WBC and at Conquest.

When he's not gaming, Ray makes his living as a Landscape Architect in Berkeley, California.

Born to game!  Gaming since he could crawl.  Kurt has illustrated over 8 years in the gaming industry, and 12 years in commercial art.  Kurt has combined his art talent with his love of gaming to illustrate award winning titles for Talonsoft, Avalon Hill, Sony Interactive, Mission Studio, Silicon Dreams, Take Two Interactive, Empire Interactive and Gamesquad.  He presently works for Talonsoft as their Senior Illustrator and before that he worked for Avalon Hill as their Illustrator.  Kurt freelanced for Holiday Inn, GMT, Multi-Man Publishing, Girl's Life Magazine, Agora Inc., Sony Interactive, Empire Interactive, Avalanche Press, PC Gamer and Creative Reality.  He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Visual Communication at Maryland Institute College of Art, with an Award of Merit for Outstanding Achievement in Illustration.

Currently one of Kurt's biggest challenges is finding more time to play table top and computer games.  Kurt Lives in Baltimore, MD with his big, beautiful, black dog zeek.  If you want a good friend get a dog.

Mark has been gaming since 1967.  In 1991 he founded Rhino Game Company and published three games: The Legend Begins, Campaign to Stalingrad and Decision in France.  From 1995 to 1997 Mark worked at Avalon Hill and designed Hannibal and co-designed Successors with Richard Berg.  Besides game designs Mark has done almost a 100 game maps for various publishers.  Mark lives in Texas with his wife and three boys.
